Drivers License Recovery
Legal Action helps low-income Milwaukee County residents solve many types of licensing and record problems when those problems prevent the resident from getting or keeping a job -- including the loss of a driver’s license. (Other types of licensing and record problems that are barriers to employment might include occupational licenses, e.g., nursing, childcare provider, or school bus driver, inaccurate criminal and arrest records, child support arrears, or evictions and foreclosures.)
Two Legal Action lawyers are placed at the Center for Drivers License Recovery and Employability at the Milwaukee Area Technical College downtown campus. The Center is public-private partnership that includes Legal Action, Wisconsin Community Services, Milwaukee Area Technical College, and the City of Milwaukee Municipal Court. For help with a drivers license problem, call 414-297-6407 any day from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
