Eviction Defense Project


Legal Action of Wisconsin's Eviction Defense Project (EDP) is court-based, FREE legal aid for low-income tenants who are facing eviction. 

 

At the EDP, eligible clients can obtain FREE legal aid with their evictions, including:

 

• Brief legal advice

• Settlement assistance

• Document drafting

• Limited scope in-court representation

 

The EDP has locations in Milwaukee and Dane Counties:

EDP representation is limited in scope, meaning that volunteer attorneys are obligated only for their scheduled shift.  Unless the volunteer elects to take a case on for a longer term, there is no extended representation required and the representation will terminate at the close of the day.
